This really is an excellent book. It’s stunning, well written, and the recipes are fantastic. It makes an awesome addition to most kitchens. The large downside? There’s not much in this book that you isn’t already on her website. There are some additions, but the bulk of the book is a compilation of things discovered on her blog. I was hoping for a lot more new stuff. It makes an excellent gift to get a huge PW fan or for somebody who isn’t web savvy. I am glad I bought the book, I’d rather have this stunning difficult cover piece of kitchen art than a bunch of printed-from-the-internet recipes.

Beyond the fact that this book has great recipes with step by step photos and personality in the instruction, it also has a ton of gorgeous photographs and anecdotes from the ranch. This is an instant favorite for me. Get a copy for yourself and one to get a friend.

This is really a good cookbook. The recipes work and are very typical of good Sicilian cooking. What other” experienced” cooks that have reviewed this book require to remember is that there is a difference between Sicilian and Italian cooking. I married into a Sicilian loved ones and also have learned how fantastic this way of cooking is. Many from the recipes in this book are ones that I’ve learned from loved ones and friends.I am an experienced cook and have an extensive cookbook collection and this publication is a nice addition. It is charming and fun , the recipes and suggestions are good and very sound.
